Temporary halt of draghunting
Dear Draghunting follower I regret to advise you that due to a lack of suitable ground, and an ever increasing weekend workload on the committee members its been decided to call a halt to the Kingdom Draghounds organised hunt-jump events.
This is a sad conclusion to 8 years of organised horse-sport however we are hopefull of things changing in the future and the restart should not be discounted in the years ahead.
We are very grateful to assistance from all hunt followers, friends and family of the riders, Roderick of Tulibol castle,Walter and Nick Alexander of Glentarkie estate, Lucinda Russell for the use of South Kilduff land, and of course to the Fife Hunt and Foxhounds for support in the care/keep of the hounds over the past 2 seasons and lastly our horses who did their best at all times ... some brilliantly!!
The committee hope that you have enjoyed your visits to our meets and that your year ahead will be varied and enjoyable with your equine friend.
Yours in sport

Be safe and wear a good fitting safety hat and bodyprotector is recommended but your option. All horses and ponies nicely groomed and turned out too.
Horses should be fairly to very fit and be at least able to keep up a trot and some cantering for 2 hours which will have 5 or 6 halts for rest.
The front group will follow the fieldmaster and jump any fences (max 3 ft, average is 2ft 3in) however there is always an option to pass a jump and go via an open gate.
The rear group is a hunt follower one which is non jumping and is ideal for new riders or young horses to be introduced to the sport. This is led by 2 riders who have pink hatbands hence the pinkladies are your leaders.
